Palmer's College is a successful and independent sixth form College in Thurrock, providing excellence in education for over 2000 students aged 16-19 years. We pride ourselves on maintaining a high quality workforce to help our students reach their full potential.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and well organised individual to take on the role of the College Sport Maker (CSM). This is a full time post, requiring the successful candidate to work 37 hours a week and includes working evenings and weekends and during the College holiday periods
The post holder will focus on supporting the drive to increase regular participation in sport by young people aged 16-19, playing a key role co-ordinating and developing the provision, and building and sustaining effective partnerships with National Governing Bodies (NGBs), the local County Sport Partnership (CPS) and other community sports providers. You will need to create and maintain effective and active links with sports clubs in the community to widen the offer to all students
The CSM will become an integral part of College and student life and an advocate for sports development within the College
You will need to be educated to degree level or equivalent in a sport related subject and have sports coaching experience. You will also need to be well organised, have excellent communication skills and an outstanding ability to engage and motivate young people
