Values and Vision

The school motto is “Believe and achieve”. Children are encouraged to see themselves as valuable and unique assets to the school, while staff support them in developing their skills and knowledge. Earlsmead celebrates difference, tries to promote a happy learning environment and commends achievement at each stage of learning.

Children can enjoy their hobbies, or discover new ones, at range of after-school, breakfast and holiday clubs. Activities range from non-contact boxing and netball to film club and choir. Each year group is offered the chance to learn a musical instrument, with lessons provided by Harrow Music Service. The service also caters for small groups of children with learning difficulties through a additional resource provision known as the “saplings class”.

Ofsted

“Children in the early years make good progress from their low starting points. A higher than average proportion achieve a good level of development. The use of the pupil premium is effective. Therefore, disadvantaged pupils make good progress in their learning. Their performance catches up with that of their peers over time.”
