The main focus of the role is to:

  • Lead and co-ordinate curriculum innovation and development within: cross college Functional Skills, GCSE Maths & English and AS/A2 Maths
  • Lead and build a team of English and Maths staff, running regular team meetings to ensure good communications are in place across the team
  • In conjunction with the Director Learning & Student Support, and Functional Skills Co-ordinator, lead on supporting Area Managers, in the diligent tracking of Functional Skills and cross college GCSE entries, exams and resits with an aim to improve student success and quality, and the use of reports to ensure that this is achieved.
