Oaklands College are looking to recruit a committed and responsible curriculum technician to work with our diverse and talented Art and Design students. You will have a background in Art and Design with a minimum of a level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area. The ideal candidate will also have experience with print making and textiles as supporting in these areas will be a large part of the role. Experience of working with young people in an educational environment would be an advantage.
The main purpose of the role is to provide support to learners in practical and project work and to assist staff during practical workshop sessions, with guidance, demonstration, maintenance of equipment and stock records. You will support in the classroom on a range of course in the department.
We currently have two vacancies in the Art and Design department, as follows:
- Post 1: 0.53 FTE (3days, 22.2 hours per week, 37 weeks per year) term time only position on a permanent basis
- Post 2: 0.4 FTE (2 days, 14 hours per week, 52 weeks per year) on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave up to January 2015.
We would prefer to fill both roles with one individual, but we will also accept applications form those only wishing to be considered for one post.
