Reporting to the Chief Education Officer for Newport City Council, this important role is an opportunity to make an impact upon the outcomes for learners across an ambitious city on the rise.
Building on your senior leadership experience, this role will support the Chief Education Officer in providing leadership within the local authority and across schools and education providers. You will also be required to assist in the development of a robust quality assurance process for all aspects of the education service, including the services commissioned from the South East Wales Education Achievement Service (EAS). The EAS is a not for profit limited company delivering support for school improvement and linked services that is wholly owned by the five south east Wales Councils.
This is a challenging leadership role that demands an individual with the necessary drive and professional credibility to deliver significant change. Working with schools ranked 'excellent' to those 'requiring special measures', you will drive and hold accountability and create a culture of achievement and improvement.
