Eastleigh College is seeking to appoint a Deputy Chief Executive Officer with effect from the beginning of the new academic year 2014/15 to fill the post vacated by Dr Jan Edrich who is to take up the post of Chief Executive Officer in September this year.

Eastleigh College was judged Grade 1 "Outstanding" by Ofsted across all areas in 2012 including; overall effectiveness, outcomes for learners, quality of provision and capacity to improve.  The appointee will be instrumental in leading Eastleigh to achieve the ambitious objectives set by the Corporation, whilst maintaining that "Outstanding" status.

Eastleigh is a leading Further Education college, specialising in vocational education and training, supporting nearly 20,000 learners across five campuses in South Hampshire and through an extensive national network of managed partners.

Eastleigh College has also received other accolades including being one of the first three colleges to be awarded Beacon status, achieving the full Training Quality Standards recognition, the Cabinet Office Customer Service Excellence award, Investors in People (Silver) and Investors in Diversity.  

Eastleigh College is the only Further Education college in the country to have a residential facility accommodating a small number of learners with moderate learning difficulties, which has achieved its own Grade 1 "Outstanding" by Ofsted on all three inspections in the past eight years.

The successful applicant will lead the delivery of teaching and learning to achieve the College's mission and strategic objectives within the framework of sound portfolio development planning and a learner focused curriculum offer which makes the best use of available funding and resources.

Applications are sought from individuals who are leaders and able to demonstrate that they have a clear understanding of a learner-centred approach to the delivery of the curriculum.  A clear thinker and excellent communicator, you will have an inclusive management style and a passionate commitment to taking forward and delivering the College's vision and mission in order to meet the demands of our students, staff and the communities we serve.  You will also have a strong understanding of government education policy, its impact and application within the FE sector.
