We are seeking to appoint a motivated Deputy Headteacher who will support the new Senior Leadership team in the school.

Brackenbury is a diverse and vibrant school that is fully reflective of the mixed community which it serves. We have been graded as outstanding by Ofsted (Jan '09) and wish to continue to enhance our fantastic teaching and learning.

We are seeking to appoint someone who..

  • Has relevant experience of leadership at Deputy Head or Phase Leader level
  • Is an inclusive and inspiring teacher with a strong record of improving rates of progress
  • Is a committed, adaptable team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Will be accountable for raising standards and securing high quality provision
  • Has the skills to implement change, line manage staff, use data effectively to monitor outcomes and highlight priorities for development as part of the school self-evaluation cycle.

About Brackenbury Primary School

On behalf of the children, staff and Governors, I would like to thank you for your interest in Brackenbury Primary School.

Brackenbury Primary School is a large, vibrant, welcoming school in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The building is situated on a large site and dates back to 1879. Every classroom is provided with up-to-date resources and the latest technology including interactive screens. Among our facilities are a full computer suite, art room, music room, flexible hall for drama and gymnastics as well as a larger hall used for assemblies and performances to parents.

We are fortunate to have several small group teaching rooms used by specialist teachers and a wonderful Library. Also on site is a dedicated Early Years building housing our youngest children as well as ‘The Shed’ which is home to our before  school childcare service. Excellent staff, office and reception facilities add to the superb environment which enhances teaching and learning for every adult and child who has the opportunity to become part of the Brackenbury Primary School community.

Brackenbury is part of a Federation with Kenmont Primary and Wendell Park Primary Schools, both in LBHF.
