Barnsley College is offering an exciting opportunity to teach in one of the most enigmatic countries in the world.

We are looking for a Deputy Head to lead on the day to day running of A levels in China. You will support the Head of International A levels and deputise as required at our newly established Sixth Form in Nanjing, China. Would you like to join our vibrant team of talented, hardworking staff and enthusiastic and respectful students?

We are seeking people with a sense of adventure, who are motivated to working hard and making this project a success. You will have extensive experience of teaching and delivery of outstanding practice.

The ideal candidate would have:

• Experience of delivering a pastoral and study skills curriculum.
• Experience of developing and implementing high quality support for students that has resulted in increased student success.
• Extensive teaching experience and delivery of outstanding practice.
• Experience of developing and implementing strategies to improve pastoral support within an A level environment.
• Experience of implementing quality processes which lead to outstanding results.
• Experience of working collaboratively with partners.
• Experience of carrying out graded observation of teaching and learning to Ofsted standards.
• Evidence of highly effective staff management and of motivating and inspiring staff teams.
