Clifton High School is seeking to appoint two outstanding and well-qualified teachers to be Deputy Heads of School.

Situated on a beautiful Bristol site, this selective co-educational Independent Day School with 500 pupils aged 3-18 years operates the Diamond Model, offering a seamless education across distinct sections underpinned by a strong pastoral and family ethos.

The Deputy Heads of School will work in partnership, report to the Head of School and share with her the vision and ethos of Clifton High. They will be responsible for delivering academic excellence, a high quality pastoral system and the extra-curricular programme.

Candidates will have considerable leadership experience, a proven ability to operate at a strategic level and a track record of working as a senior manager leading and driving change.

Candidates will have a discerning appreciation of working in a close-knit organisation with a long and well-respected history and there will be an expectation of commitment to school and staff development.

The Deputy Heads of School will drive standards and expectations in teaching and learning across the School. Expertise in curriculum and timetabling, reporting, assessment tracking and the innovative use of ICT would be an advantage.

The posts represent an opportunity from which the successful candidates could move into Headships in due course and are available from September 2015 or possibly sooner.
