Al Khor International School is one of the largest international schools in the Middle East with over 4,000 students. We are owned by RasGas and Qatargas, the world's two largest producers of liquefied natural gas.
The school has exceptional facilities and is located in Al Khor Community, 40 minutes north of Qatar's capital city Doha. We offer two curriculums: the English national curriculum to IGCSE and A level, and the Indian CBSE curriculum. This opportunity is a British curriculum senior school role.
We are looking to appoint a Deputy Head of Senior School who will be responsible for teaching and learning in the senior school. They will line manage the Science and PE teams. Three Deputy Heads of Senior School and the Head of Senior School comprise the AKIS senior school leadership team.
We are looking to appoint an aspiring school leader with up-to-date knowledge of current practice, excellent communication and organisation skills and the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues to deliver consistently outstanding lessons and raise student attainment.

Owned by QatarEnergy LNG– one of the largest natural gas-producing companies in the world, AKIS was established to cater primarily for the children of its employees. The school is located in Al Khor Community, approximately 40Km north of Doha.
A co-educational and non-selective school, AKIS offers the following provision to students from Kindergarten through to Post 16 (3-18 years of age):
