The British School in The Netherlands is seeking  a confident and enthusiastic Deputy Head Teacher to join our Junior School Diamanthorst.  The position becomes available from September 2015 (or earlier depending on candidate availability). This is an outstanding opportunity for a competent professional with previous senior leadership experience, presence and drive.

Established in 1931 The BSN has a tradition of quality.  Our curriculum has a strong British foundation and our students and teachers are from all around the world, inspiring a vibrant international outlook.    With approximately 320 students aged 3-11 years old, Junior School Diamanthorst is a small school with a strong heart.  You will be working within a dynamic and open-minded team who strive to help students to become confident, happy individuals.

We are looking for a candidate who reflects and inspires the culture of this caring and successful school.  You will demonstrate commitment to school development, leading collaboratively with the senior management team.   We are looking for a candidate with vision to build on the school's current success, who relishes challenges and has the ability to move developments forward.

Experience with the international parent community is desirable as is having worked across sectors.  You will be expected to demonstrate excellent teaching, confident leadership and an innovative approach in contributing towards the strategic direction of the school.

The Deputy Head Teacher role encompasses other responsibilities crucial to Junior School Diamanthorst's success. You will be actively involved in school health and safety  and you will have a   focus on safeguarding and the successful transition of students.  You will also be an active member of The BSN Continuing Professional Development Programme.

If successful in your application you will be invited to the first round of interviews which will take place in London on 13th and 14th October.  Following this, the second round of interviews will take place on 23rd and 24th October in The Netherlands.
