Yerbury School offers an exciting and unique opportunity for an excellent practitioner and experienced leader to work in a 2FE, over-subscribed, friendly and successful school, and to make a marked contribution to help shape its future and continue building on its successes. The current Headteacher started in September 2013 and together with the SMT is looking to further develop the leadership team and middle-leadership within the school. The ethos of the school is built upon an enthusiasm for and commitment to the broad and balanced, long-term development of each child, and we are passionate about delivering an innovative and creative curriculum whilst ensuring the best outcomes for all our children.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent practitioner and experienced AHT or DHT, with a desire to be part ofleading a school through a period of transition
  • Is experienced in school improvement at a whole school level with a proven track record of success and strong leadership in empowering others and developing distributed leadership.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership and management skills, and has the ability and energy to lead, inspire and support pupils, staff and the wider community
  • Has a commitment to promoting and leading on high standards in teaching and learning, and to whole school development
  • Has excellent communication skills and is an innovative, independent and strategic thinker
  • Is positive, approachable and a team-player
