We wish to appoint a truly exceptional candidate with high standards of professionalism. Someone who has the vision, energy, commitment and proven leadership and management skills to join our existing team, and make a significant contribution to our school. Our school is currently an outstanding school and we are working extremely hard to maintain this status. We are a school who has researched best practice in teaching and learning, and we provide training for other schools. We are a school who has a high focus on data assessment, but who also understands children need to have fun to learn and progress. The preferred candidate will need to work independently driving forward new and innovative ways of working. They will work closely alongside the experienced head teacher in further developing the school and they will also need to have the ability to draw on the experience of other professionals, engage and motivate those around them and be part of the strong team ethos the school currently enjoys. They will also need to have good ICT skills and understand the importance of developing systems and structures to support the curriculum within a larger primary school.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an excellent class teacher who has a natural love of teaching and an enthusiasm for ensuring that children reach their full potential.
  • Lead by example and be a good team leader who is able to motivate and inspire others.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with all members of our community in continuing to develop this forward thinking school.
  • Be exceptionally organised and have good management skills. Have experience of developing staff through coaching and mentoring, resulting in positive impact on pupil progress.
  • Further develop the school's current educational research programme
  • Be passionate about children's learning and has a proven track record of raising attainment and developing the whole child
  • Demonstrate the vision, drive and understanding of how to improve whole school performance.
