Due to the retirement of the current Deputy Head an opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a new Deputy Head at Stone Hill School.

Stone Hill School is a community day special school for 117 pupils aged 5-16 years with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs, specifically Autism. We are committed to providing a fully enriched and creative curriculum which meets the diverse needs of all our pupils. We are situated in a purpose built school on Barnsley Road, Scawsby.

We are looking for someone to join the team who:

  • Has a proven record of success at Senior Leadership level.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with all members of our community in continuing to develop this outstanding school.
  • Is able to motivate, lead and inspire a high performing team.
  • Has experience of developing staff through coaching and mentoring, resulting in positive impact on pupil progress.
  • Has experience of strategic planning and of school self-review.
  • Is an excellent practioner who has an enthusiasm for ensuring that children reach their full potential.
  • Will share our commitment for developing the best possible learning and pastoral environment for all children and ensure all children are successful in their learning
  • Has proven experience of data analysis and use of data and other strategies for school improvement.
  • Will bring a sense of energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role.
