The Governors of Holdbrook Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational Deputy Headteacher who will make a positive impact on the outcomes for our children.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual that:

  • has experience of leadership and management and is able to demonstrate how initiatives have had a positive impact in their current setting;
  • has a proven record of outstanding classroom practice in the primary phase including EYFS, demonstrating creativity, initiative and excellent organisation;
  • is able to demonstrate an ability to work with rigourous systems of assessment and use this data meaningfully to enhance pupil progress and maintain the highest possible standards;
  • has a commitment to ongoing professional development and a positive attitude to innovation and change;
  • is able to work co-operatively and effectively in the senior management team within the school; have highly effective communication skills and demonstrate compassion, professionalism and maturity when liaising with pupils, parents, governors and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Holdbrook Primary School is situated on the Hertfordshire border and lies between Waltham Cross and Waltham Abbey in the centre of the Lea Valley Park. We serve an estate comprising both private and rented accommodation, all built in the 1960s along with the school. The staff work well together as a supportive team. Our multi-cultural school aims to include success and happiness in every child's memory of their primary education.
