Sacred Heart, Gorton is a Roman Catholic Voluntary Aided School, founded by the Diocesan Trustees to educate boys and girls between 3 and 11 years old.

Sacred Heart School was founded in 1902 in the Gorton area of Manchester to serve the needs of the many Catholic children living in the area. The school was originally a chapel and plans were in place to provide a suitable building. The new school building was complete on 19th January 1904. Since this time there have been many building alterations resulting in the excellent facilities we now have at Sacred. The school provides a wide range of extra curricular activities and a breakfast club.

The situation of our school also offers considerable benefits. We are close to Sport City, which offers world class sporting facilities to our pupils. We are also very close to the thriving city centre.
