Sunmarke School is our new flag-ship school in Dubai, having an overall capacity of 3,000 students. Located at Jumeirah Village Triangle, Sunmarke will be 7 minutes away from our well-established affiliate, Regent International School, Greens.  Sunmarke will open its doors in 2016, and will welcome students at Nursery, FS1 to Year 13.  We shall offer the National Curriculum for England and Wales, followed by GCSE / IGCSE, and A' Level programmes of study, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in the future. 

Sunmarke School will provide students an academically rigorous education supported by a broad and balanced range of learning opportunities in and out of the classroom.  Our curriculum will be enriched through the integration of a holistic "Education in Human Values" (EHV) program which develops character and emotional intelligence.  We aspire to maximise academic achievement and nurture our children, so that they become independent learners, confident individuals, responsible young adults who have the necessary qualifications, skills and values to flourish and excel an ever-changing world.

The Post:

Deputy Headteacher: Primary - Sunmarke School (Jumeirah Village Triangle)

The Opportunity:

We seek to appoint a motivated and inspirational Deputy Headteacher, to work along-side and support other inspirational Senior Leaders at one of our UK National Curriculum schools in Dubai. 

About you:

The Deputy Headteacher should hold as a minimum, a B.ED or B.A & PGCE / PGDE or equivalent. Tertiary qualifications such as NPQH / PTC are desirable & have at least 2 years experience in a SLT post.

• Passion and experience as a Primary Leader, adept at delivering the UK NC across the EYFS and Primary phase;
• Dependable, with a drive and enthusiasm in and outside of the classroom which inspires teachers and students alike;

• An unrelenting focus to maximise student attainment, progress and achievement;
• An ability to develop effective teams, organisational structures, academic processes, whilst maintaining accurate knowledge of the quality of learning, teaching and assessment across the relevant phase of the school; 
• Experienced in coaching and mentoring programmes for staff besides the ability to share your own outstanding practice;
• Flexibility and an eagerness to support the Senior Leadership Team to lead and manage a large school;
• An ambition to becoming a Headteacher in the future.
