Job overview

From January 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter we wish to appoint to this 11-19 multicultural school a highly motivated Deputy Head teacher. The successful candidate will be a confident individual with strong organizational skills and an excellent understanding of how data can be used to raise achievement. They will be an experienced senior leader with presence and drive.

The post is to lead a strong Pupil Progress Team consisting of our Heads of Year. You will be supported by 3 AHTs and a very competent data team.

The successful candidate will be joining a collegiate, committed and energetic Leadership Team and will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to lead, motivate and inspire staff and students to reach the highest levels of achievement;
  • Outstanding classroom teaching;
  • High personal impact on student progress and attainment;
  • A track record at senior level of successfully implementing improvement strategies;
  • A commitment to the School's vision and ethos;
  • Passion and drive to make a difference and enable all students to fulfil their potential;
  • The ability to operate at a strategic level including effective use of data, self-evaluation and quality assurance processes.

Featherstone High School is a mixed, multi-cultural comprehensive school for pupils between the ages of 11 and 19 situated in the London Borough of Ealing.
