The London Borough of Newham benefited significantly from Olympic investment and regeneration and Newham College is right at the heart of a new, vibrant East London. We are one of the largest and most successful Colleges in the Greater London area and our innovative and dynamic approach supported by our high quality staff team means that we are at the leading edge of local delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic, curriculum expert to shape our curriculum and bring new ideas to the College. Working with the local authority on their priorities, and taking into account community requirements, you will ensure that we deliver our commitment to inclusion and achievement. You will be responsible for improving teaching and learning and sharing good practice within the College.

Building on our centres of excellence, you will be expected to bring new ideas and initiatives on assessing and improving teaching and learning. You will also be responsible for developing our HE potential, across UK and International Markets.

We're looking for a creative decision maker who is really strong at understanding the complexity of ensuring that we support the changing skills requirements. You will need to be able to influence change management around culture and expectations, with the aim of building a more performance driven culture. You will lead on quality and will work closely with the Principal on a vision of our curriculum and have an understanding of modern teaching methods, good use of technology and a knowledge of different FE funding streams, as well as experience of working with employers and key stakeholders to shape and drive forward student experience and progression.

Ofsted nominee experience is important along with a proven record of enabling success and achievement. Broad curriculum knowledge and an understanding of 14-18, 19+, HE, vocational and apprenticeships is essential.

You will receive a salary of c. £100,000, depending on experience and inclusive of Performance Related Pay and a travel allowance.
