Job overview

The recently established Scottish College for Educational Leadership (SCEL) was formed following the National Partnership Group's report on Teaching Scotland's Future as a means to focus leadership development at a national level.

Applications are invited for this seconded post to work with the team at the College to develop the Framework for Educational Leadership an interactive and self-directed learning resource to support teachers' professional development and learning for leadership.

The post provides an exciting and stimulating opportunity for a highly skilled and energetic teacher with experience and knowledge of teacher leadership, to contribute to one of the key priorities of SCEL. The appointment will be on a seconded basis for a period of six months. SCEL welcomes applications from every section of the community and is also willing to consider appointment on a fixed-term contract.

The role
To develop The Framework for Educational Leadership as an interactive and self-directed learning resource to support teachers' professional development and learning for leadership.

The person
An energetic and enthusiastic teacher, with sound knowledge of teacher leadership, ICT and a commitment to career-long professional learning.
