We wish to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dynamic team player to lead a talented and committed English Faculty, continue to build on significant successes in Whole Academy Literacy and play an important part in shaping future successes through membership of the extended Academy Leadership Team.

The clear focus of the successful candidate will be accelerating pupil progress in English alongside the leadership of Whole Academy literacy policies and initiatives. You will join a new Academy Leadership Team with an ambitious vision and we will offer excellent support and opportunities for further professional development.

If you have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, are a teacher who inspires colleagues and students, and will have the energy, drive and commitment to make a real contribution to whole Academy developments, we very much look forward to receiving your application.

It is a great honour and privilege to lead the Wellacre community as Principal.

Wellacre is a safe, happy and caring school which students are happy and proud to attend.

Our ethos and values are reinforced through our House system with each student belonging to either Lowry, Pankhurst or Turing. The Houses reinforce our sense of belonging. Students are provided with opportunities to broaden their knowledge, interests and skills though our Co-Curricular provision which includes the Royal Navy Cadets, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Ecology projects, Chess Club, Book Club & EDT Industrial Cadets.
