This exciting opportunity, at this new Sponsored Academy, occurs at a time of complete rebuilding and restructuring both of buildings and personnel. Since opening on 1st September 2014 this Academy is now led by a national, regional and local leader of education Colin Simkins O.B.E. who is charged with the responsibility of taking two former failing schools to 'at least good' within two years. The Board of Directors of Fylde Coast Academy Trust (FCAT) and Academy Council are extremely determined to appoint like minded professionals who want to join the new Principal in this challenging yet ambitious new Academy. The sky is the limit . so come and see the current Academy and the exciting plans for its future.
The successful post holder will join a newly formed Extended Leadership Team which will provide outstanding opportunities for future professional growth as well as potential promotion, either internally or across the growing FCAT 'family of schools'. English has been fairly successful but there is a great opportunity for further improvement now the Academy and students are housed on one site.

Blackpool Aspire Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school, situated in Blackpool, Lancashire. There are approximately 631 pupils at the school, between the ages of 11-16.
Blackpool Aspire Academy opened in 2014 after Bispham High School and Collegiate High School merged together. The school moved into its current building in 2015, and shares an entrance with Highfurlong School. The FCAT (Fylde Coast Academy Trust) sponsor the school.

Blackpool Aspire Academy has the motto: “Success, nothing less!” It hopes that all pupils aspire to achieve their potential in a stimulating learning environment. The school follows six core values under the acronym ASPIRE: achievement and attainment, success, progress, inspiration, resilience and enriched opportunities. Being a kind and considerate member of the school’s community is vital and pupils are taught to be sensitive to other people’s feelings.
Students are encouraged to follow their goals and many extra-curricular activities are organised to help pursue new interests and develop skills. Learning opportunities are extend outside the classroom with a range of academic clubs.
