Hamble Community Sports College is a college that is developing fast. We want to appoint an innovative Director of Learning for Science who is:

  • an outstanding teacher that will bring fresh ideas;
  • able to lead learning across the faculty;

  • passionate for learning and teaching and committed to raising standards across all Key Stages;
  • able to inspire and ensure that all students and teachers of Science achieve their full potential;
  • an effective team player with a clear vision for development and sustained improvement in Science;
  • able to lead the Science team in effective transition from Key Stage 2 and across Key Stages 3 and 4;
  • able to demonstrate a track record of achieving excellent Key Stage 3 progress and GCSE results as well as successful strategies that accelerated rates of student progress.

The Hamble School (11-16 mixed comprehensive school), is a 'Good' school (Ofsted, March 2017) which provides a forward thinking and vibrant learning environment.
