Job overview

Bishop Burton College is one of the leading land-based Colleges in the UK with strong and sustained growth in learner numbers. We have undergone a multi million pound campus development programme including significant investment in state of the art teaching and learning facilities, sports facilities, a commercially run farm and an international standard equestrian facility. The College has recently acquired a land based College in Lincoln and the postholder may be expected to work across both sites.

Following the retirement of the current postholder, we are seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Director of Services for Students to lead our Student Services and Educational Resource teams across our Bishop Burton & Riseholme campuses and support the implementation of teaching and learning strategies.

This role will lead and develop the Student Services, Chaplaincy, Health & Welfare, Counselling, Learning Resource Centres, Laboratories and Animal Management Unit teams and provide a high level of professional advice and support across a range of internal and external stakeholders and customers.

As a member of the Strategic Leadership Group you will also contribute to the College's overall strategy, quality and performance.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of successful leadership and management of student support teams within an education setting. Exceptional communication and influencing skills are essential requirements for this role underpinned by an analytical/strategic approach to Further Education issues.
