We are seeking a dedicated, self-motivated individual to lead and develop the work within the Early Years and Child Care and Public Services Division. This division offers a range of full and part time courses, including apprenticeships from Level 1 to Higher Education across Early Years and Public Services.

Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are essential for the role as well as the ability to inspire and motivate your team.  You will have a responsibility to lead curriculum and development and to ensure all learners benefit from an innovative and stimulating offer.  Identifying new opportunities to meet future needs by using sound knowledge of the Early Years and Child Care and Public Services Sectors and proactive engagement with employers and the local community is crucial to the further development of this area.

Wigan and Leigh College is a further education college in Wigan, Greater Manchester, which has been providing education and training locally for more than 150 years. It employs around 1,000 staff and has a student roll of about 17,000. Further education students can choose the A-level professional honours programme or vocational qualifications such as BTECs. An expanding higher education portfolio of foundation degrees, top-up degrees, higher nationals and certificates is available to adult students of all ages, both full-time and part-time. 

Wigan and Leigh College operates from several sites across the borough: the Parson’s Walk Centre, School for the Arts and Pagefield Centre are in Wigan, close to the town centre. The Image Centre and Leigh College are close to the town centre of Leigh.
