Uxbridge College is a highly successful Further Education College situated in West London. We achieved the grade of 'Outstanding' in our last Ofsted inspection (May 2008).
You would support staff in the use of e-learning and directed learning through delivering and developing training resources, accessed via the College's VLE.
Responsibilities will involve providing first line support for students and staff on the VLE and interactive screens, developing training resources for staff and delivering staff training in the application of blended and directed learning. You would also work with the Advanced Practitioner team to develop exemplar courses on the College VLE.
You will need to be qualified to 'A' Level or equivalent in IT and possess detailed working knowledge of Google Docs, email and the internet. Knowledge of Virtual Learning Environments (i.e. Moodle) and on-line learning packages is essential and you should also have good interpersonal skills and the ability to train staff effectively. You should either possess or be willing to work towards a first stage teaching/training qualification (e.g. AET) which will be financially supported by the College.
