Early Years Assistant, Cheltenham

Fixed Term until 31 March 2015 - Part Time 30 hours per week
Salary: Grade C (pts 7-11) £12,915 - £14,880 pa pro rata

Gardners Lane and Oakwood Federation Children Centre have an exciting opportunity for an Early Year Assistant (C Grade) - minimum level 3 qualification in Early Years.

The successful applicant will support the learning, play and development of children aged 2-3 under the EYFS and must be able to:

• Deliver high quality early years education with good understanding of the EYFS
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Complete and manage all paperwork for the learning journeys for their groups and to observe and record their progress
• Work closely with families
• Work and liase with Community Family Workers, Social Care, Health Visitors and education support service among others
• Work as part of a team
• Have a commitment to building and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, colleagues and other professionals.

The successful candidate must have a good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Child Protection/Safeguarding.
