Avishayes Primary Academy is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to offer children a safe, secure, caring and supportive environment, providing opportunities to foster their growth and development within the nursery environment.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Good general education, to include Math's & English GCSE at A-C Grade
  • Level 3 in Child Care would be desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills with children, parents & colleagues
  • An understanding of the characteristics of effective learning in the Early Years
  • Able to use own initiative and work with minimal supervision but ask for help or advice from senior staff when needed
  • Understand the need for confidentiality
  • As an Early Years Practitioner you will work as part of a team planning, monitoring and evaluating activities for children from two to five years of age. You will be part of a team responsible for the care and education of children in the early years setting and the flexibility to work within a key person structure
  • The role requires you to promote good practice and be a role model to other staff and children. Ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of the children in the nursery at all times is essential. You will be aware of and comply with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework
