Fixed term for 6 months
This is an exciting opportunity for a six month fixed term contract to work with schools to improve the educational outcomes and aspirations of vulnerable children.
The post holder will be part of an ambitious and aspirational team with a clear vision to further raise attainment of vulnerable children and ensure educational outcomes are outstanding. It will involve working with Warrington schools and colleges to:
- ensure that children on free school meals and other groups are appropriately tracked and monitored and their educational outcomes supported and challenged.
- improve the educational outcomes of Children in Care, supporting with initiatives and projects that will significantly accelerate educational progress.
This will be accomplished by championing the needs of children in care and those on free school meals and by working in partnership with schools, colleges, providers or directly with young people and their families.
There is a strong commitment in Warrington to multi-agency working. This post is key in establishing effective communication and negotiation with our partners which we believe is a practice that ensures the best outcomes for our children.
The successful post holder will have experience of work in a school setting and it is desirable they have experience in supporting vulnerable or underperforming groups.
