We are looking for a teacher for a key and challenging opportunity within East Renfrewshire's Education Management Information Service (EMIS). The unit is part of the department's quality improvement team, which is focused on improving the life chances and learning experiences for all our learners.
As a teacher you will have a good understanding of the changes taking place in schools and prefive establishments with Getting it Right for Every Child, Curriculum for Excellence, new National Qualifications and the increasing development of online activities for teachers and learners.
You would be overseeing schools' management information systems, liaising with schools and national bodies to inform educational administration, management, teaching and learning information. Your duties will include the development and support of computerised management and analysis tools to facilitate performance monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
You will know the value of good quality information to monitor and track pupil performance; manage assessment data for learning and teaching; report to parents and others; and to support all learners achieve their potential in particular the most vulnerable.
