Job overview

Are you a successful school teacher looking for a new challenge or career opportunity?

We are looking for teachers to join our rapidly expanding Education Department at the Royal College of Physicians to deliver a range of education courses.

We design and deliver educational programmes for practising doctors on the educational aspects of their role, including teaching skills and assessment. The programmes we offer range from one- and two-day interactive courses to a three-year part-time Master's degree in Education.

Our programmes are delivered both nationally and internationally and are jointly delivered by both educationalists and doctors. A relevant teaching qualification is essential, and applicants must be excellent communicators. Previous experience of teaching leadership programmes may be an advantage

Applications are welcome from a wide range of teaching subjects and backgrounds.

No knowledge of medicine is necessary, but it is expected that you will have an interest in the postgraduate training process in medicine and a desire to work with doctors.

Excellent benefits are offered which include generous leave, a first class pension scheme, 35 hour week, free lunches, season ticket loan (after probation) and much more. In addition, the appointee will work in friendly offices in an attractive location overlooking Regent's Park.

(Please note that only candidates shortlisted for interview will be contacted and, due to the huge response we invariably receive for these vacancies, we are unable to provide feedback for candidates not shortlisted.)

Visit us today at www.rcplondon.ac.uk/jobs to find out more and apply or email: ps.recruitment@rcplondon.ac.uk for an application pack (CVs in isolation will not be accepted). Please quote reference EDU148 in the subject line of any emails.
