Job overview

We have an excellent opportunity for an innovative, talented and ambitious teacher of English to provide strong leadership to a talented team of professionals in a high achieving and successful school. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of achieving positive student outcomes and a strong commitment to ensure that all learners achieve success both personally and academically. You should have the talent and potential for future promotion.

We are making excellent progress as a new school. Our recent GCSE 'headline' result was 71% (5+ A*- C including E+M). Madani Boys School is the highest achieving mainstream secondary school in Leicester currently. Our students are polite, well behaved and have a positive attitude to learning. Our school attendance rates are amongst the highest in the city as well as very low exclusion rates which further demonstrate the appetite for learning amongst our students with extremely supportive parents also.

Madani Boys School is a new school which opened in late 2012. The vision for our school is simple; we want to become outstanding in all aspects with our school ethos being central to everything we do. Our school originated from the hugely successful Madani High School which split approximately two years ago into 2 new schools, namely Madani Girls School and Madani Boys School. These 2 new schools are part of Madani Schools Federation. Madani Boys School is now a rapidly improving school after going through a challenging restructuring period and there is strong belief that we are on a 'special' journey as a school community.

The school had an Ofsted inspection soon after we opened and we were graded 'requires improvement' overall. Even at that early stage, the inspectors witnessed a robust and effective school improvement plan which has been subsequently implemented with great success. The journey to become outstanding has not only started, but we are moving ahead with great excitement and we are pleased to welcome ambitious professionals to join our committed school team on this journey to become outstanding in all aspects.
