Ashbourne College is one of the leading providers of independent Sixth Form education in the UK. Situated in a wonderful location on High Street Kensington, Ashbourne's success at A level has grown year on year. Over 45% of our students achieved grades A* or A at A level in 2013, with many of these high grades coming from the English department. We have a truly international feel attracting students from over 40 different nationalities.

We would like to appoint a tutor in English to join our team in September 2014. The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher and will have experience of teaching A-Level English. This experience could be from an NQT year. Candidates will be required to teach throughout the College (i.e. Years 10, 11, 12 and 13) within a small department. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and working with young people. The successful candidate may be offered a pastoral role at the College and there will be opportunities for rapid career development.

With proven commitment to academic excellence, candidates will appreciate the opportunities the College offers to communicate, inspire and attain the highest standards. Applicants should have a good degree in a relevant subject, a willingness to involve themselves with aspects of administration and supervision and be willing to become fully involved in the College as a whole.

Ashbourne Independent Sixth Form College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Kensington, West London.

The college was founded as Ashbourne Independent College in 1981 and was co-educational from the start. It is a member of the Council for Independent Further Education (CIFE). A smaller than average institution of its type, the college provides 157 places for students between the ages of 13 and 21 when fully subscribed.
