Values and vision

Sirius Academy North’s goal is for all its students to feel that they can “believe, achieve and succeed”. To support this vision, the school aims to be an inclusive, purposeful and high achieving educational community, delivering an outstanding learning experience.

A high standard of behaviour is an expectation within the academy. Its “Discipline for Learning” programme is designed to encourage students to take responsibility for their own actions, following the Sirius Academy North Academy Pledge, which details nine key expectations around behaviour.

The ability to communicate is considered the most important area of learning. Students are given the chance to communicate formally through “Student Voice”.  By demonstrating that each voice is valued, by listening and responding, the school believes it shows its commitment to democracy and liberty.

Ofsted

“The focus of all staff and governors is entirely on improving the education provided for the pupils in their care, increasing their life chances and allowing them to follow their dreams.”
