A full-time English teacher for this four-form entry Independent School for Boys 11-18 and Girls 16-18 (440 on roll: AGBIS-SHMIS).

The successful applicant will be an excellent teacher, qualified to teach English Language and Literature from Y7 to GCSE, and English Literature up to A Level, in a thriving department proud of its outstanding examination results.

The position would suit either a qualified teacher looking to widen their experience or a newly qualified teacher looking for a demanding and exciting start.

Applicants should be able to teach a range of genres up to A-Level.

The Department plays a central role in the Year 8 Shakespeare Festival, Public Speaking and Creative Writing. Enthusiasm and experience in one or more of these areas would be advantageous, as would an interest in the school magazine. Applicants should also indicate how they would contribute to the wider life of this very active day school.

Salary is in accordance with the London Fringe Pay Spine for Qualified Classroom Teachers together with a generous Halliford Allowance.
