Excellent Teacher of Mathematics, Widnes    

We seek to appoint a committed and dynamic Excellent Teacher of Mathematics who is forward thinking, innovative and with ambition and moral purpose to support the development of our students. Building on current successes, the Excellent Teacher of Mathematics will develop the quality of learning and teaching in a state of the art learning environment, and promote excellent student progress across all aspects of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum, to sustain and improve upon the excellent Mathematics attainment currently achieved.

The successful candidate will join a high performing faculty, which consistently enables students to achieve their potential. This is an exciting time for the faculty, which seeks to become a Mathematics Hub through our new Teaching School status. Wade Deacon High School is already the lead school of a cross-phase, cross-regional alliance, and the founding school of a multi-academy trust.

About Wade Deacon High School

Wade Deacon High School is a mixed, non-denominational academy secondary school for pupils aged 11-16. It is located in Widnes, Cheshire and has about 1,500 pupils. 

The school was formerly Wade Deacon Grammar School for Boys and Wade Deacon Grammar School for Girls. It became the Wade Deacon High School in 1974, and converted to academy status in March 2013.

It is operated by the Wade Deacon Trust, a multi-academy trust that also includes Hillside High School, Widnes Academy and Halewood Academy.
