Values and vision

The secondary school's long-standing mission is to provide all students with "roots and wings". These are the roots of an academic education grounded in literacy and numeracy, and the wings of self-confidence and self-esteem that allow them to flourish in both the local community and modern world.

Marshalls Park School values its status as a performing arts college and a specialised dance studio was opened in 2010. The work of the drama department is aimed at providing students with opportunities to participate in high-quality, rich and varied experiences both inside and outside the classroom. Students study a variety of scripts, texts and poems throughout their drama education at Marshalls Park.

Ofsted report

“The school’s work to promote the personal development and welfare of pupils is good. Pupils feel safe at the school and spoke positively about teachers supporting them, for example by being at the busy road crossing near the school at the end of the day.”
