Job overview

Inspire - Support - Motivate - Achieve?

This is one of those rare occasions for a professional to be involved not just in leading the establishment of two brand new academies but also to help shape the development of a new and dynamic Multi-Academy Trust with significant plans for growth. The two academies will open in 2015 and grow, starting with nursery and Reception and increase in size thereafter annually accepting two forms of entry.

We are looking to appoint an Executive Principal to oversee these new academies. You already know that you have: proven leadership abilities, an outstanding track record in primary education, the drive and enthusiasm to take a major project forward. What we need is all that plus someone who will drive our vision for the two new academies being developed in collaboration with Tameside MBC and can:

  • be instrumental in developing the vision and ethos of the academies;
  • create a vibrant and child focused curriculum;
  • lead on policy development;
  • engender confidence within the local communities the academies will serve;
  • appoint the right staff to deliver the vision; and
  • create confidence in the Trust by building on the strong relationships that Carillion already enjoys in the region.

However it doesn't stop there because this appointment will provide the opportunity to:

  • be involved in the development of Carillion Academies Trust;
  • help shape the Trust's approach to future academies; and
  • promote the Trust in establishing a cluster of academies in the North West.

Still interested? For an informal and confidential discussion about the role, please contact Adam Stanley (recruitment adviser) on 07778 819105 and get further information and an application pack from: www.execprincipaltameside.org

Closing date: 1pm Mon 3rd Nov 2014
Interviews: Wed 12th /Thurs 13th Nov 2014
