Federation Lead for Mathematics

The Governing Body of the Island Innovation Federation is seeking to appoint an experienced and successful individual to take the lead for developing Mathematics across Carisbrooke College, Medina College and the VI Form Campus to ensure good or better outcomes for over 2,400 students aged between 11 and 19.  Therefore, the successful candidate will be expected to work across all three sites.

The post would ideally suit an ambitious professional looking to develop the skills to enable them to progress from the role of Head of Department and be ready to progress to a role of Deputy Headteacher/Vice Principal within three years.  You will be supported with a bespoke programme of professional development, including the offer of a fully funded NPQH in the second year and Federation wide posts of responsibility, including being part of the wider Federation Leadership Team.  As part of the commitment to your professional development, you will be directly managed by one of the Headteachers, and you will work with the other members of the Federation Leadership Team as well as colleague leads for English and Science.

The Federation Mathematics faculty has a total of 25 staff, in addition to dedicated Learning Support Assistants to strengthen the learning of students.  All classrooms have high spec IT facilities and each 11-16 site has fully equipped departmental offices.
