St George's Academy is an 11 to 18, mixed, specialist Maths and Computing Academy of 2263 students (including 400 in the sixth form), serving the town of Sleaford and the surrounding rural area in Lincolnshire. The Academy has a main site in Sleaford with a smaller site in the village of Ruskington. The Academy opened in January 2010 following the successful partnership of the predecessor school, St George's College of Technology, with two, small, rural secondary schools.
We are seeking a Finance Director who will have overall responsibility for the strategic leadership of financial operation of the Academy. You will also oversee the management of our HR, community usage, administration and site support. You will be a full member of the Senior Leadership Team involved in strategic decision-making at the highest level.
A skilled financial operator at the highest level, you will have total integrity, well-developed people skills, combined with accuracy and a hard working ethos.

About St George's Academy
St George’s Academy was first established in May 1908, with 208 children on roll. The school was one of the first Technology Colleges; it has been Grant Maintained and was a Foundation School before becoming an Academy in January 2010. The school has a history of success with students and has a waiting list for every year group. The Academy occupies a site of 32 acres and has over 3500 students on roll at the Sleaford Campus and around 520 on our Ruskington Campus. The Academy is a comprehensive school serving Sleaford and the surrounding rural area. The Academy building programme has added significantly to the already very good facilities. Students attend the Academy from a distance of up to 15 miles. Many of the students live in small villages that surround Sleaford. The housing is still affordable and there are many beautiful villages and towns offering a high quality, rural lifestyle. Sleaford is a rural market town, with a mix of new and historic housing. The nearest large centre of population is the Cathedral City of Lincoln, 19 miles away. The Academy growth reflects the growth in the local population and the parental preference for the Academy over other schools.
