Castle Hill School is an 'Outstanding' (OFSTED 2008) special school for 100 pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties. We opened in 2006 into a brand new building with excellent facilities and resources. The majority of our pupils are working from P1 to P8 irrespective of their age.

We are looking for an inspirational teacher to join our outstanding team in September 2012.

The school offers a wide range of in-house CPD and as a specialist school we have partnerships with many mainstream schools, colleges and universities. Team work is essential at Castle Hill School. Our trans-discipline partnership is vast and this multi-agency work is crucial in order for our pupils to make progress.

We hope to become a Teaching School in March and this will lead to even more partnership working.

No specialist training is required as long as the teacher has an excellent knowledge of early child development. The post may also be suitable for NQTs dependent on experience.

All teachers in the school are offered Post Graduate training as part of an on-going programme.
