Faced with cuts in government funding and cost pressures, two midland colleges turned to enterprise to create a brilliant learning offer which is helping to change lives and grow businesses. North Warwickshire & Hinckley College and South Leicestershire College forged a powerful partnership, a Federation, which has helped reduce costs and drive up value and quality whilst protecting the individual independence, identities and brands of each college.

Now we want to grow. The Federation is becoming a Learning Group, a more comprehensive student-focused association which incorporates an academies trust.They need a communications leader to help them build on their innate entrepreneurialism. They're looking for an experienced commercially focused Group Director, Marketing & Communications to help position the organisation so it is ready for the next stage in its development.

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will focus on developing the strategic plan across marketing, PR and communications to raise the organisation's profile and deliver on the bottom line. Through effective use of research and insight, you will develop the brand and relevant propositions and deliver commercially focused, multi-channel marketing campaigns. A member of the Management Team, you will lead an integrated marketing team, committed to a high performance culture and continuous improvement.

You will need to be a highly experienced, strategic marketer, who can demonstrate a progressive career within a customer centric organisation of comparable scale and complexity with a proven track record of delivering best in class marketing solutions. Analytical, commercial and creative in your approach, you will also be an exceptional leader who possesses outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to engage at all levels. A natural self starter with an eye for detail, you will combine creativity with good organisational skills and a strong execution focus in order to bring projects in on time and on budget.
