The post of Head of the Barnsley Schools' Alliance provides an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to develop a sector-led model of school improvement.

The successful applicant will have the strategic overview for:

  • Raising the achievement and attainment of all children and young people in Barnsley
  • Ensuring that every Barnsley school is good or better
  • Developing the Alliance Board of school improvement partners to ensure that resources are well targeted to tackle underperformance and achieve excellence in learning
  • Building cross-phase partnerships between primary, secondary and post-16 settings to enable young people to make successful transitions in learning and future employment.
