Job overview

The Taunton Deane Partnership College is a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based on 6 sites across the Taunton Deane area in Somerset.

The TDPC works closely with partner schools and professionals. The majority of students who attend our Centres are dual registered with their mainstream schools but need additional support due to their social, emotional and mental health needs.

The Taunton Centre is based on Somerset College site and has a good track record for high standards of achievement for its students. It supports up to 24 KS4 students.

Due to the retirement of a long standing Head of Centre we are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in leadership and management
  • A commitment to outstanding achievement for all learners
  • The ability to create opportunities and inspire learners who may have a combination of social, emotional and mental health needs
  • The ability to establish effective working relationships within a small team and with schools in the area
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of the wider TDPC Senior Leadership Team in order to develop an outstanding Service

and

  • Is resilient and dependable
  • Can inspire and manage change effectively
