HEAD OF DANCE (Maternity Cover)

The Governing Body and Headteacher seek to appoint an inspirational teacher and leader of Dance to join us to deliver the highest standard of academic attainment through outstanding pedagogy and innovative curriculum development. CFGS is a large, successful and oversubscribed 11-18 girls' school, which serves the East London community.

The successful candidate will:

  • be a qualified teacher of Dance
  • be an outstanding classroom practitioner and an inspirational leader
  • have excellent subject knowledge
  • have a proven track record of achieving excellent student attainment outcomes
  • be committed to raising student achievement and as a Head of Department play a key role in the development of the school
  • be a team player who is keen to work collaboratively and contribute to a strong ethos of sharing good practice, resources and ideas both within the Performing Arts Faculty and across the school.
  • have particular knowledge and expertise with AQA GCSE dance specification

This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic and committed teacher of Dance with high expectations to join the Performing Arts faculty at an exciting stage in the school's development as we aim to move from Good to Outstanding.
