About The Greneway Middle School

The Greneway School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational middle secondary school, situated in Royston, Hertfordshire. It is an academy converter supported by a multi-academy trust, The Royston Schools Academy Trust, which provides sponsorship for Greneway and two other schools in the Royston area. 

The Greneway School provides 480 places for students aged 9-13 when fully subscribed.

The school building was completed in 1954 and was then the home of Royston Secondary School. A middle school opened on-site in the 1960s. After the secondary school relocated, the middle school reopened under its current name in July 1970. It converted to academy status in November 2011.

The Greneway School fosters a love of learning in its pupils. It helps children to understand that talents and abilities can be developed through effort and perseverance. The middle school uses a curriculum that prepares its students for life in the 21st century. Every member of the school community is focused on working as a TEAM, which stands for “Together Everyone Achieves More”.
