Founded in 2007 Dulwich College Suzhou is an International school that caters for the expatriate population of Suzhou. There are currently 780 students on roll from 38 nationalities. We offer classes from Pre-Nursery to Year 13
The College is a member of FOBISSEA and ACAMIS and is a candidate school for accreditation with the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges(WASC)
The Curriculum in our Early years and Junior school follows the English National Curriculum, enhanced and adapted to meet local requirements. In the Senior school, students follow the English National curriculum in Years 7-9, IGCSE in Years 10-11 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Years 12 and 13.
Suzhou is a charming city that is situated 80 kilometers west of Shanghai.(20 minutes by fast train) It was recently voted as the second most "liveable" city in China for expatriates.
Known as the "Venice of the Orient" it is an ancient city that is steeped in History and culture. However, it has also embraced the spirit of the new China and enjoys all the infrastructure and amenities that are required to make one's life in the 21st Century very pleasant indeed.
The College boasts excellent resources and facilities. Each class is equipped with a digital projector and interactive smart board. Specialist rooms include an ICT suite, 2 large fully stocked libraries, a 720 all seat theatre, Science Laboratories, an Art and Design Technology workshop and self-contained suites of Music rooms. A wireless Apple school, we are able to integrate IT across the curriculum through the use of numerous MacBook carts.
In addition the College enjoys 20,000 square metres of playing fields, an all-weather surface, an International quality 400m running track and a large indoor gymnasium.
A brand new "state of the art" Senior School campus will open in August 2013 on an adjacent 50,000 square metre site with additional theatres, libraries, gymnasium and aquatic centre.
All of this is complimented by a well qualified, professional and happy teaching faculty. Teachers are recruited mainly from the UK and from other International schools throughout the World.
There is a full programme of co-curricular activities every day after school and the school can cater for students for whom English is an additional language.
