Are you an experienced Early Years specialist?  Do you have the drive and determination to help drive education improvements for children under 5 in schools and Early Years settings?
 
In August 2013 more than 400 staff transferred from the Local Authority to the Buckinghamshire Learning Trust. The Trust now delivers a range of services to support leadership, management and improved outcomes for children and young people as well as schools and early years settings across Buckinghamshire and beyond.

The Trust is looking for an experienced and driven Head of Early Years to lead an exceptional team of early years professionals. As a member of the Education Senior Management Team, you will manage the day to day delivery of the early years improvement service working closely with the school intervention and standards team. An experienced Early Years leader in education, you will have an in depth knowledge of current education policy, the current Ofsted inspection framework for schools, the EYFS, statutory requirements and education improvement strategies and will inspire local schools and providers to deliver outstanding early education services to children.

The Main duties of the post holder will be to:

  • Manage delivery of the full range of early years services offered by the Trust through line management of the early years managers.
  • To implement the delivery of the Early Years foundation stage including appropriate guidance, support and challenge to Heads, governors, and Heads of non-maintained settings on standards of teaching and learning.
  • Review the operational and delivery structure and ensure the service delivers outstanding results so that every child in Buckinghamshire receives an education which is good or better.
