Applications are sought for the post of Head of Early Years at Harrow International School, Shanghai with effect from January 2015, allowing at least one year to prepare the EYC for opening.

The successful candidate will have the experience and vision to lead an outstanding Early Years Centre (Creche, Pre-K, K1 and K2) based on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. The Early Years Centre will be part of the newest in the Harrow International group of schools which provides co-educational schooling for children aged 2-18 in Bangkok, Beijing and Hong Kong.

Harrow International School Shanghai

Operating in close association with Harrow School in London, the Harrow International family of schools shares the same mission, ethos and high standards. The Pre-Prep of Harrow International School Shanghai will open in the fall of 2015 and Early Years in January 2016 with the Upper School opening in August 2016. It will be a K-13 day and boarding school with a capacity of 1500 students on a campus site of 37,000 sq metres. The school will open with around 500 students.

Harrow International School Shanghai will boast a first-rate range of educational and sports facilities, boarding houses and staff quarters. The school will be located in the new Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone which has excellent connectivity to the centre of the city and the airport by metro lines and expressways.

About Harrow International School, Shanghai

Harrow School Shanghai is a co-educational day school for students aged from 18 months to 18 years. The teaching is based upon the EYFS Framework and the English National Curriculum, culminating in IGCSEs for Removes and Fifth Form (Years 10 and 11), and A levels within the Sixth Form (Years 12 and 13). The School is organised as follows:

The School is located in a modern custom-built facility, which accurately reflects the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai. The School combines elements of educational philosophy, practice and traditions from Harrow School in London within the context of the international minded-set of a diverse student body in Shanghai.  It is envisaged that the School will eventually grow to a roll of approximately 950. As with the other Harrow Schools, Shanghai’s vision, 'Leadership for a better world', is realised by means of a characteristically Harrow approach to schooling which demands of students and teachers high academic attainment, involvement in a rich array of extra-curricular activities, and engagement in high quality pastoral support structures, particularly the House system. Students are assigned into Houses where their which their academic and all-round well-being is monitored, nurtured and supported.
