Job overview

East Park seeks to appoint a Head of Education

East Park seeks a highly skilled, qualified and motivated individual to join its Senior Management Team in an exciting and challenging period.

East Park is a grant aided organisation which provides excellent, person centred residential care and education to children and young people with complex additional support needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, physical and sensory impairments, and challenging behaviour. With the young person at the centre and working with external partners, our work focuses on seeking innovative, personalised approaches which enable each individual to reach his or her maximum potential. East Park provides education and care to children and young people between 5 and 25 years old.

In 2012 East Park received a positive joint Inspection Report from Education Scotland & the Care Inspectorate and retained Accreditation from the National Autism Society. At the most recent Care Inspectorate visit in 2014, East Park was awarded an "excellent" grading for the quality of care and support.

To continue to drive the organisation forward East Park seeks a highly skilled, qualified and motivated individual to join the Senior Management Team. As Head of Education the successful candidate will play a central role in developing and implementing educational and cross organisational strategy, driving forward development and growth through effective change management and ensuring East Park's ethos of adopting a child-centred, multi-disciplinary approach to learning is embedded in the culture of East Park. Above all, East Park seeks people who share our values and wish to support vulnerable young people in fulfilling their potential.
